New Verge

I have just completed making a Verge for Alaska's newest Verger, Berry Jack of St. Marys Episcopal Church in Anchorage. It is very similar to the Verges Genny and I are holding in the photo.
If you need a Verge made please contact me, It costs about $50.00 for the components and takes 4-6 weeks. I do not charge for labour. Email me at: mike@tongass.com
Yes, you can have more than one Verger! Jenny and I serve on alternate Sundays and both robe up on special occasions.

The Open Door.

The ministry of the Verger is enjoying a new birth in the Episcopal Diocese of Alaska. Like all things Alaskan, this traditional ministry will develop in the Great Land in it's own unique ways among the unique peoples and geographic settings of this land.

This blog is intended to be a place of collaboration, support, and sharing of resources for those called to this ministry by their congregations. There is much to learn from each other as Alaskan Vergers experiment and develop their ministries.

May God bless you all in your new callings.
